WHO I AM

My name is Chrissy King and I am a BACP-registered psychodynamic counsellor and psychotherapist.

I believe therapy is a collaborative process that requires at its heart an empathic, safe and trusting connection in a non-judgemental space where you feel safe to talk freely and confidentially about your innermost fears and worries.

The relationship that develops between us is key to successful therapy. Once that relationship is established and you feel connected and properly heard, then our work can begin on improving your emotional health and mental wellbeing.

I provide time-limited counselling and open-ended psychotherapy in both my private practice in Highgate Village  N6     and Muswell Hill N10, and as a volunteer for one of the longest established counselling centres in the UK.

I work in-person and online with clients dealing with:

  • Abuse + Bullying

  • Addiction

  • Anger Management

  • Anxiety + Panic Attacks

  • Bereavement + Loss

  • Depression

  • Divorce + Separation

  • Domestic Violence

  • Gender + Sexuality

  • Loneliness + Isolation

  • Low Self Esteem

  • Relationship Issues

  • Self Harm

  • Suicidal Thoughts

  • Work Related Stress

As a Member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (MBACP) I'm bound by its ethical framework and committed to its high standards of practice and continued professional learning. In addition I have a passionate interest in the latest developments in mental health research attending workshops, reading professional journals and contributing to forums with colleagues. Equality and inclusivity are built into my practice and all my clients are treated with equal open-mindedness and respect.
